Ganz manufactures transformer for Göd substation

Hungary, Tápiószele: Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd. has manufactured a 250 MVA/400 kV transformer for the Göd substation. The company announced this on its LinkedIn profile on January 22.
A locomotive had to pick up the transformer from Ganz’s factory in Tápiószele on January 16. According to the company, at most substations in Hungary, the local conditions allow it to deliver their power units on the road. However, the Göd substation is one of the few exceptions, so Ganz had to choose an alternative delivery solution, opting for the train.
