India: GE Vernova has been selected by Sterlite Grid 32 Limited, a subsidiary of Sterlite Power, to supply critical technology for the Khavda Phase-IV Part C project. The project aims to strengthen the country’s renewable energy transmission infrastructure and enable the integration of solar and wind power into the national grid.

GE Vernova will provide 765 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), 765 kV transformers, and shunt reactors, together with supervision for installation, testing, and commissioning. The solutions will ensure reliable renewable power delivery and maintain voltage stability through reactive power compensation. The project is set to be completed within two years. The wholes project aligns with India’s renewable energy ambitions, which include achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power generation capacity by 2030.

“We are proud to contribute to strengthening India’s renewable power transmission network. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting India’s energy transition and building a more sustainable energy ecosystem. We are also thankful to Sterlite Power in reaffirming their faith in our products and services,” said Ruchir Mayank, Power Transmission Commercial Leader for India at GE Vernova.
