South Korea: Hitachi Energy and Samsung C&T Corporation Engineering & Construction Group (Samsung C&T), one of the world’s largest engineering and construction companies, are expanding their strategic collaboration to identify common objectives and explore business opportunities for High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects worldwide, with a focus in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Republic of Korea. This collaboration leverages the growing markets and the global trend toward electrification and power infrastructure expansion. In today’s global power scene, partnerships, standardization of solutions, and new business models are key to meet the increased pace of change,” said Niklas Persson, Managing Director of Hitachi Energy’s Business Unit Grid Integration.

“We expect this strategic collaboration agreement to strengthen the cooperative relationship and maximize the innovation capabilities of the two companies. We will continue to foster collaboration and growth,” said Sung-Jun Kim, Executive Vice President of P&G Biz Development Team at Samsung C&T.
