Switzerland: Hitachi Energy has started a project in early 2026 to support Switzerland’s digital infrastructure by supplying custom-made distribution transformers to Green, a Swiss data centre provider.

The transformers are manufactured in multiple colours as part of Green’s colour-coding concept applied across the entire on-site power supply chain. This visual classification enables operations teams to immediately identify transformers and power supply branches, even in complex installations or time-critical situations. The approach simplifies maintenance activities and supports safe, structured operations.

Hitachi Energy supplies a range of distribution transformers used in applications where operational reliability, long service life and energy efficiency are required. These solutions support data centre operations while helping to reduce lifecycle costs and environmental impact.

The project demonstrates how customised transformer design, including clear visual identification through colour, can support the operational requirements of modern data centres and the continuous operation of digital infrastructure.
