South Africa: Huawei has launched its latest digital power solutions, FusionSolar 9.0 and One-Fits-All 2.0, at a major industry event in South Africa on 23 March 2026, attended by more than 300 stakeholders from across Sub-Saharan Africa.

The company also announced plans to build a Digital Power Partner network of over 1,000 partners, spanning utilities, developers, financiers, and service providers, to support regional energy transformation.

The new FusionSolar 9.0 solution introduces several industry-first innovations, including a 1000Vac PV system and a grid-forming smart string inverter. These advances aim to improve grid performance, increase returns, and enhance safety and reliability. Its flagship SUN2000-506KTL inverter has already achieved large-scale commercial deployment.

Meanwhile, the One-Fits-All 2.0 solution targets commercial and industrial users by integrating PV, energy storage, and charging into a simplified system. Its LUNA2000 series energy storage solution meets advanced safety standards and improves lifecycle efficiency while lowering costs.

Speakers from Stellenbosch University and Absa Bank highlighted the importance of grid-forming technology and strong financial ecosystems in supporting Africa’s energy transition. Experts noted that such technologies significantly improve frequency stability, voltage support, and overall grid resilience.

Project partners also shared successful deployments, including large-scale PV plants and solar-plus-storage systems, demonstrating strong performance and cost savings.

Several companies signed new agreements at the event, with over 400 MWh of C&I energy storage orders secured in Q1 alone, reflecting growing market confidence in Huawei’s solutions.
