Iraq and Linxon sign contracts for substation renovations
The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has signed three contracts with Linxon to rehabilitate three crucial 400 kV BSP stations.

Iraq, Baghdad: The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has signed three contracts with Linxon to rehabilitate three crucial 400 kV BSP stations. The Ministry issued a statement saying that the contracts were signed by Mr. Riyad Uraibi Muklf, General Director of the General Company for Electrical Energy Transmission in the Middle Region, on the Iraqi side, and Hassan Merhi, Managing Director of Linxon in the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
The contracts were signed under the directives of the Minister of Electricity Mr. Zeyad Ali Fadhil. They encompass the rehabilitation of three main 400 kV BSP stations part of the Iraqi Electrical Super Grid: North Baghdad 400 kV BSP, South Baghdad 400 kV BSP, and Diyala 400 kV BSP.
The work will include updating electrical equipment, enhancing protection and control systems and improving the infrastructure of the stations to ensure continuous and efficient operation. The initiative aims to develop the infrastructure of the transmission network in Iraq.
