Croatia/Sweden: On March 10, Končar and Vattenfall Eldistribution AB Sweden have signed a contract for the construction of a new substation PT 46 Munksund, worth approximately $20 M (€18.5 M), Končar reported.

The new substation will be connected to the existing power system via a 130 kV transmission line and will enable the capacity of the local distribution transmission network of PiteEnergi to be increased.

The contract, as stated in the press release, represents the continuation of Končar’s presence on the Swedish market and is also the largest single contract in terms of commercial value in the field of construction of substations.

Končar, having been active in the Swedish market for years by supplying transformers and substations, further strengthens its reputation as a key partner in the competitive European market with this contract. The company noted that this deal also opens new opportunities for future projects and contracts in the power sector.
