Krempel acquires EIC Insulation Company in Mexico
The manufacturer of electrical insulation materials, composites and electronic materials Krempel has acquired all shares of Mexican EIC Insulation Company (EIC).

Germany, Vaihingen an der Enz/Mexico, Monterrey: The manufacturer of electrical insulation materials, composites and electronic materials Krempel has acquired all shares of Mexican EIC Insulation Company (EIC), a provider of insulation solutions and services, as part of a share deal. The acquisition includes both the business of commercializing electrical insulation materials (EIC) and the further processing of these materials into customer-specific components and kits (ECC Conversion Center).
EIC has modern production facilities, storage capacity, and a development and sales center within the Monterrey metropolitan area. Due to its proximity to the United States, the site will serve as a central production and logistics hub for the markets in North and South America. The companies have had a partnership for over 20 years in the field of insulation for generators, transformers, and motors.
Jörn Clasen, Managing Director at Krempel, said: “The acquisition of EIC significantly expands Krempel’s global presence in the Americas and strengthens its product portfolio in one of the world’s most important regions. The primary goal is to ensure that global customers in the energy sector receive the full product lineup at their production sites even more rapidly and efficiently.”
