L&T secures EPC orders for power transmission and substations

Larsen & Toubro has won new contracts for power transmission lines and distribution infrastructure in India and Middle East.

India, Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro, an Indian multinational EPC player, has secured significant EPC orders for power transmission lines and distribution projects in India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Oman.

In India, L&T will develop a 765 kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) in western India and construct a transmission line to support power evacuation in the region.

In Saudi Arabia, the company has been awarded projects for two 380 kV transmission lines spanning over 130 route km, aimed at ensuring a reliable power supply to key townships around Riyadh.

Additionally, L&T has received turnkey orders for the construction, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of two 132 / 11 kV GIS substations in the UAE and a 132 kV GIS in Qatar. The company has also secured further orders for ongoing projects in India and Oman.
