France, Paris: CIGRE has announced some major changes. The organization is marking the end of an era as it bids farewell to two of its influential leaders. Michel Augonnet has concluded his term as President, and Marcio Szechtman has completed his tenure as Chair of the Technical Council. CIGRE thanked both of them, praising their leadership and expertise.

Meanwhile, Konstantin Papailiou has been announced as the new President of CIGRE, who brings extensive experience and commitment. Rannveig Loken has been named Chair of the CIGRE Technical Council, making her the first woman to hold this position, reflecting CIGRE’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity. CIGRE has also said that Michael Heyeck, CIGRE Vice President of Finance and Marketing, will continue his role for an additional two years.
