MR’s ECOTAP® VI is an on-load tap changer in vacuum technology which is used in small and medium-sized power transformers.

Germany, Regensburg: MR’s ECOTAP® VI is an on-load tap changer in vacuum technology which is used in small and medium-sized power transformers. MR notes the material savings of the product, including on the transformer, but also simplified customer interfaces during installation and commissioning.
The features of the product are a common oil compartment of the tap-changer with the transformer and thus reducing the need for components such as an OLTC oil expander etc., smaller transformer possible for the same power or identical size for higher power, simplified line routing due to uniformly side-positioned winding connections and reduced installation effort and automated commissioning via the control system.
The product has a max. rated through-current (3-phase) of 400 A, max. rated step voltage of 1500 V, max. rated switching capacity (3-phase) of 600 kVA and highest voltage for equipment Um of 76-123 kV.
