USA, Nebraska: Construction on Nebraska Public Power District’s (NPPD) Scottsbluff Power Project will begin in October and is scheduled to be completed in spring of 2025. NPPD announced the final route for the new ten-mile, 115 kV line in May 2023 and has since been acquiring easements from landowners along the route. The line will feature a combination of single-pole wood and steel structures. NPPD is partnering with Watts Electric Company from Waverly, Nebraska for the construction. The project will increase the transmission system capacity to meet demand, reduce congestion, and boost the reliability and resiliency of the Scottsbluff and western Nebraska areas.

Project Manager Paul Brune commented: “Safety remains our top priority. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we embark on construction for this project.”
