Switzerland, Hirschthal: The PFIFFNER Group has announced a major leadership change. Effective 1 January 2025, Dr. Jürgen Bernauer, the company’s first CEO, will resign after six successful years at the helm. Marcel Rüfenacht, described as a dynamic leader with international experience, is set to take over the role.
Jürgen Bernauer views his time in office positively: “We have built up a rock-solid group of companies in a growing market. The financial targets from our Strategy 2025 have been achieved, and we have developed many innovative products in all subsidiaries. All of the abovementioned puts us in an excellent position for the future.” When asked about his resignation, Bernauer explained that he wants more free time for his family and himself, but he will remain with the company in a reduced role to continue contributing his experience.
Marcel Rüfenacht is the new CEO who already enjoyed success as a board member at Avesco AG. Born in El Salvador and raised in various countries, Rüfenacht brings a multicultural perspective to the PFIFFNER Group. He has an MBA in Finance & Control and has enjoyed an extensive career at ABB.
“The PFIFFNER Group has undergone a fascinating development over the last 20 years. I feel privileged to continue this story with the Hunziker family and the management team,” says Marcel Rüfenacht.
