PG&E appoints Alex Vallejo as Chief People Officer
PG&E has appointed Alejandro ‘Alex’ Vallejo as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, effective September 30, succeeding Kaled Awada.

USA: Alejandro ‘Alex’ Vallejo has been named Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer of PG&E Corporation and its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He will assume the role on 30 September, following the departure of Kaled Awada earlier in the month.
In his new position, Vallejo will lead PG&E’s People organisation, responsible for talent acquisition, labour relations, coworker development, and change management. His mandate also includes building and sustaining a culture that supports a safe, resilient energy system and meets customer needs.
Vallejo brings extensive leadership experience within PG&E. Most recently, he served as Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President, Ethics & Compliance, overseeing enterprise risk management, public safety issues, and compliance functions. His portfolio also covered enterprise privacy, federal compliance, and records and information governance.
Previously, Vallejo held leadership roles in PG&E’s legal and customer teams, giving him broad exposure to critical aspects of the business.
The appointment reflects PG&E’s focus on strengthening its workforce and culture at a time of ongoing transformation in the energy sector.
