The Australian Government has approved the 800 MW Prairie Wind Farm, a new wind farm to be developed by Windlab, located 40 km northeast of Hughenden in North Queensland.

Australia, Queensland: The Australian Government has approved the 800 MW Prairie Wind Farm, a new wind farm to be developed by Windlab, located 40 km northeast of Hughenden in North Queensland. Australian authorities said the wind farm will generate energy that can power households in Townsville, Cairns, the Sunshine Coast, Rockhampton, Mackay, and Bundaberg. The project will consist of 116 wind turbines.
