Prolec GE Waukesha acquires full ownership of Menk USA
Prolec GE Waukesha, Inc. has acquired the remaining equity stake in Menk USA, a North American manufacturer of cooling radiators for power grid transformers.

USA, Waukesha: Prolec GE Waukesha, Inc., a business unit of Prolec GE, has acquired the remaining equity stake in Menk USA LLC, a North American manufacturer of cooling radiators for power grid transformers. A partial owner of the company since 2002, Prolec GE Waukesha has acquired complete ownership of Menk USA from Germany-based Menk-Schmehmann Group, a specialist for complex tube forming, welded assemblies and steel structures for mobile cranes. The acquisition will allow Menk USA to become fully integrated into Prolec GE’s components portfolio, bolstering the company’s supply chain resiliency, and enhancing its strategic capabilities.
Prolec GE described Menk as a reliable supplier. The decision to acquire full ownership aligns with its vision to secure critical supply chains and collaborate with customers and suppliers to strengthen the market’s availability of key transformer components.
