Amid the global energy transition and the deep restructuring of industrial supply chains, the power equipment and critical materials industries are undergoing a period of unprecedented change. On one hand, sustained investment in power grid infrastructure continues to accelerate worldwide; on the other, the rapid expansion of AI-driven data centers is placing higher demands on delivery timelines and system reliability. As this trend accelerates, the market is demanding supply chains that are both more agile and more reliable. PTTX answers this call by expanding its transformer core manufacturing footprint closer to key markets.

From Global Supply to Regional Focus

With over 20 years of dedicated experience in core components for power transformers, PTTX has built a mature and resilient global supply system. Today, the company serves more than 300 customers and partners across over 50 countries and regions, supported by a long-standing track record of reliable delivery and trusted collaboration. These capabilities provide a solid foundation for PTTX’s continued shift toward regionalized manufacturing.

In 2026, PTTX’s transformer core manufacturing base in Turkey is set to commence operations, becoming a key node in the company’s global manufacturing network. The facility is designed to strengthen regional delivery and localized service capabilities, offering greater supply certainty to PTTX’s core markets.

Located in Bursa—one of Turkey’s traditional industrial centers and a core city within the Marmara Economic Region—the site offers clear logistical and geographic advantages. It is just a 10-minute drive from Gemlik Port and approximately 390 kilometers from the European border, with a driving time of around three and a half hours. The new plant covers an area of approximately 24,000 square meters and is capable of supporting the production of transformer cores for both power and distribution transformers across all voltage levels, with strong potential for industrial collaboration and future expansion.

Leveraging this strategic location, PTTX will be able to serve markets across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Americas more efficiently. Beyond shortening physical delivery distances and improving supply efficiency and stability, the new facility also enhances responsiveness, communication efficiency, and service depth—bringing PTTX closer to its customers in both operational and strategic terms.

High-End Product Portfolio and Stable Manufacturing Capacity

In terms of manufacturing capability, PTTX has established large-scale production bases in China, with an annual capacity of 150,000 tons of transformer cores and 300,000 tons of USL (Ultra-stable Low-loss) silicon steel. This scale provides stable and flexible supply support for global markets. The Turkish facility will support the company’s existing product portfolio, covering power and distribution transformer cores, cut laminations, mother coils, and slit coils, enabling PTTX to meet a wide range of customized client requirements.

Among these offerings, PTTX’s independently developed USL (Ultra-stable Low-loss) silicon steel has already achieved large-scale production, covering grades up to PTD065 with core loss of ≤0.64 W/kg, delivering a proven, high-performance material solution for the next generation of energy-efficient power equipment.

Equally important, PTTX is able to replicate the same quality standards and product consistency across cross-regional manufacturing through its proprietary automation systems, process controls, and inspection capabilities. Professional management and operations teams from the Group’s headquarters further provide comprehensive and robust support to the plant, ensuring that the entire production process operates in full compliance with internationally recognized quality management systems, while consistently safeguarding operational efficiency and product reliability.

Sustainability Capabilities and a Long-Term Commitment

Sustainability has become a defining factor in long-term manufacturing competitiveness. PTTX has embedded low-carbon and green development into the ongoing upgrade of its manufacturing system. The company is a participant in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and has achieved validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aligning its decarbonization pathway and governance framework with international benchmarks. In addition, PTTX has received an EcoVadis Silver rating and completed greenhouse gas emissions verification and product carbon footprint certification, providing credible third-party validation of its sustainability performance.

Building on this foundation, the Turkish facility will implement a series of low-carbon initiatives, including energy management, efficiency improvements, optimized material utilization, waste management, and green operational practices. These measures not only reduce environmental impact, but also enable PTTX to deliver products that align with global sustainability trends and increasingly stringent ESG compliance requirements.

PTTX’s manufacturing expansion in Turkey represents far more than the addition of a new production site—it is a long-term commitment to the future. As key markets continue to accelerate, PTTX is building a manufacturing and service network that is closer to its customers, positioning itself as a trusted long-term partner ready to navigate industry transformation with resilience and confidence.
