Reinhausen Innovation Academy launches
Reinhausen Asia-Pacific, a wholly owned subsidiary of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, officially launched the Reinhausen Innovation Academy (RIA) on Monday.

Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur: Reinhausen Asia-Pacific, a wholly owned subsidiary of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, officially launched the Reinhausen Innovation Academy (RIA) on Monday, bringing together key representatives from various sectors to mark the opening of this new training facility aimed at advancing knowledge and skills in the transformer industry across the Asia Pacific region. The event drew attendees from Malaysia, Germany, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and all employees of Reinhausen Asia-Pacific.
The academy was officially opened by German Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr. Peter Blomeyer, alongside Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH Managing Director Mr. Wilfried Breuer, Reinhausen Asia-Pacific Managing Director Mr. Matthias Schad, and Mr. Uwe Seltsam, Head of Global Execution & Product Services (TS). Guests toured the facility, which is designed to meet international training standards and features the latest technological tools.
The Reinhausen Innovation Academy, abbreviated as “RIA” which translates to “happiness” in Malay, reflecting the institution’s mission to bring educational value and progress. As an advanced training center, RIA will serve as a resource hub for Reinhausen’s customers and subsidiaries across Asia Pacific, providing practical training and education to support regional growth in the transformer industry. The opening follows months of collaboration, with contributions from both Reinhausen Asia Pacific employees and the team at the Reinhausen headquarters in Germany.
