Germany, Essen: Ralf Sikorski, long-standing employee representative on the Supervisory Board of RWE AG, will step down from his position for personal reasons at the closing of the company’s Annual General Meeting on 30 April 2025. Sikorski, a representative of the IGBCE trade union, joined the board in 2014 and served as Deputy Chairman since September 2021.

In line with RWE’s corporate statutes, Michael Vassiliadis, President of IGBCE, will succeed Sikorski as a member of the Supervisory Board. His appointment has been officially confirmed by court decision and will become effective following the AGM.

Dr. Werner Brandt, Chairman of RWE’s Supervisory Board, expressed appreciation for Sikorski’s decade-long contribution: “I deeply regret Mr. Sikorski’s departure. He has been a reliable and constructive partner, especially during the company’s critical transformation period. His leadership helped guide RWE through major shifts while maintaining strong employee engagement.”

Vassiliadis brings notable experience in energy policy, having participated in several national commissions. His appointment is expected to reinforce the board’s strategic oversight as RWE continues to evolve its energy portfolio.

This leadership change marks an important chapter for RWE, as the company adapts to future energy demands while maintaining its commitment to employee representation at the highest level.
