USA, Iowa, Webster City: A ribbon-cutting ceremony on 6 March will mark the completion of the new Reisner substation in Webster City. The event, organised by the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce, will begin at noon and residents are invited to attend the celebration.
The ceremony will take place at 2890 Millards Lane in the city’s southeast industrial park.
The Reisner Substation is a large new electrical facility built to replace the ageing Passwaters substation and help meet rising electricity demand across the community.
Situated in the southeast industrial park, the new substation will supply power to both industrial and residential areas while strengthening the reliability of the city’s electrical grid.
The project is connected to local 69 kV transmission lines and forms part of a wider programme that also includes underground electrical upgrades. Construction started in 2025, with equipment testing expected to finish in early 2026.
The facility has been designed with future development in mind and can be expanded to support long-term population growth and further industrial development.
City officials say the completion of the Reisner Substation represents an important investment in Webster City’s future and its ongoing economic development.
Local residents, business representatives and public officials are encouraged to attend the event and celebrate the completion of this key infrastructure project.
