USA, California, San Diego: At DTECH 2026, a technology trade show for the US energy sector, TSEA Energia showcased its latest engineering solutions for modernising electrical grids. The highlight was the TVC-Ultra, a next-generation electronic voltage regulator developed in Brazil, designed for precision, reliability, and advanced cybersecurity.
Lucas Coelho de Lima, TSEA’s technology manager, explained that the TVC-Ultra addressed the challenges of Distributed Generation (DG), integrating variable energy sources such as solar directly into the network. Unlike traditional solutions, it allowed multipoint measurement, monitoring voltage not only at the regulator but also across feeder branches, keeping average voltage within regulatory limits and reducing compensation payments for utilities.
“The remote monitoring and automatic adjustments minimised manual interventions and enhanced network reliability,” he added. The system was designed to operate in complex grids with high load variability while integrating seamlessly with supervisory and control systems.
The TVC-Ultra aligned with Smart Grid concepts, supporting digitalisation, automated communication, and cybersecurity to protect critical infrastructure in the North American market. The product is expected to enter the market in December 2026, with first deliveries scheduled for 2027.
TSEA’s exhibition also featured the Green Voltage Regulator, using ester insulating oil for improved safety and longevity, the CR-20 on-load tap changer, offering fast and precise voltage transitions, and SIM-VOLT, a simulator for testing, training, and network emulation.
This marked TSEA’s fifth consecutive participation at DTECH, reinforcing its strategy in the US, where around 90 % of Contagem factory production is exported. The company’s new Texas office and programme bringing Brazilian engineers to the US further supported its ongoing expansion.
