India/Switzerland: Weidmann Electrical Technology AG (Weidmann) and Yash Highvoltage Ltd (Yash) have announced the conclusion of an agency and distribution agreement, marking the first step in their collaboration. Under this agreement, effective January 2025, Weidmann will represent Yash in select European and North African markets for Oil Impregnated Paper (OIP) bushings up to 245 kV and High Current bushings up to 25 kA.

Expanding regional presence

The agreement extends Weidmann’s representation to key markets including Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. This partnership aligns with Weidmann’s strategic goals to expand its product portfolio within the region, offering a broader range of solutions to meet the increasing demand and to address extended lead times in the industry.

For Yash, the partnership underscores their ambition to grow their global footprint. With a proven track record of innovation and reliability, Yash’s products will enhance supply chain efficiency and provide Weidmann’s customers with access to competitive, high-quality bushings.
