1. MERIT MEDIA INT processes your personal data because it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.

MERIT MEDIA INT processes your personal data such as: name, surname, contact e-mail, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Law on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation applicable from 25 May 2018. We collect and process your data for the purpose of your application for the e-Lessons that we organize.

Your personal data may be processed for various purposes, if this is necessary to comply with legal obligations (e.g. to provide data to courts or law enforcement authorities), if you have consented to appropriate processing or if the processing is otherwise lawful under binding regulations. If the data is processed for another purpose, we will provide you with information about that other purpose and any other relevant information before processing.

Participants personal data will be accessed by lecturers for exams assessment and for direct responding to participants inquires.

Also, Your personal data may be accessed by consultants who assist with IT support and who assist in the processing of personal data. Authorized third parties may need to access or store personal data if required by or in accordance with binding regulations (e.g. government bodies, courts, external advisers and other third parties considered to be public bodies).

MERIT MEDIA INT will process the data collected for the purposes mentioned above only for as long as is necessary to fulfill those purposes, and for those that require consent until you withdraw your consent, limiting processing of data to a maximum of 10 years.

If judicial, administrative, or extrajudicial proceedings are instituted, personal data may be stored until the end of such proceedings, including a possible period for declaring remedies. The controller will keep certain personal data for a period of time prescribed by law or a regulation that obliges the controller to keep the data, especially taking into account the statute of limitations for initiating court proceedings.

MERIT MEDIA INT guarantees that it will store and protect all data provided by users.

MERIT MEDIA INT may use and share data and information regarding e-Lessons attendees without identifying individuals to learn more about our user behavior and to find ways to improve our customer service.

2. We can organise e-Lessons in cooperation with other companies (the Partners) that might also use your personal data for marketing activities and will therefore be considered as independent Data Controllers. You will be provided with all the necessary information about our Partners in a timely manner below in this Policy. Before accessing the e-Lessons service you will be asked to give consent for such use of your data by reading and agreeing to this Policy.

 

You are not obliged to agree to this Policy and give your consent to the collection of personal data for the purpose of conducting future marketing activities by such Partners. In case you decline this Policy, will not be able to fulfil the contracts with our Partners and cannot provide you with the e-Lesson service.

If you have given your consent to any personal data processing activities, you may withdraw them at any time with future effect. Such withdrawal shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal. Right to rectification: You have the right to obtain from us the correction of your inaccurate personal data. Taking into account the purposes of processing, you have the right to supplement incomplete personal data, including by giving an additional statement.

Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): Under certain conditions, you have the right to obtain from us the deletion of your personal data and we may be obliged to delete such personal data.

Right to Restriction of Processing: Under certain conditions, you have the right to obtain from us a restriction on the processing of your personal data. In this case, the relevant data will be marked and can only be processed for certain purposes.
