E-lesson: Transformer Oil Course – e-lesson #4 – Mineral Oils in Service
Hosted by: C. S. NARASIMHAN / Intermediate level
Storage, handling, testing oils for compatibility, filling into transformers, limits for parameters before energizing and oil sampling
This is the fourth e-lesson in the entire Transformer Oil Course, and also the first one conducted on Intermediate level.
The lesson discusses aspects of unused mineral oil after its receipt by the end-user, such as storage, sampling, testing before and after filling into an equipment and the limits to parameters. The lesson also deals with the process and precautions for filling oil into a transformer.
Join us and learn how the oil should be stored and handled, about testing different oils for compatibility in case a new oil of a different vendor is used for topping up in an equipment and, finally, about the limits for oil parameters after filling and before energizing a transformer.
