WiPE Interview with Christina Iosifidou – Scholarship programme sponsored by CWIEME BERLIN

Hosted by: Transformers Academy
This interview took place in Madrid as part of the fourth TMIN conference: Investments, artificial Intelligence and sustainability.
We had the great honor of speaking with Christina, Head of Sustainability Grid Technologies at Siemens Energy.
In this 15-minute conversation, she told us why she is committed to sustainability: “…it’s been one and a half years that I’ve been within the area of sustainability, not only, of course, looking into transformers, but also switch gears, solution, business service, the whole value chain of our business, really, within transmission.”
She explains that sustainability goals can only be achieved if we have partners that go in the same direction with the same mindset and target setting. The environment she is mostly active in involves constant discussions with suppliers, customers, and international standardization bodies as she and her team look at how to impact the regulatory framework that is just developing.
TOPIS OF THIS INTERVIEW ARE:
· Joint industry initiative on sustainability in partnership with DNV
· Sustainability goals
· Standardization of transformer LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)
